When Conventional Knives Fail,
We Deliver Results.
In high-abrasion polymer compounding, conventional tool steel knives struggle to maintain performance. Our monolithic carbide bedknives are built for extreme wear conditions.
Conventional Tool Steel Knives
The Challenges You FaceEdges dull quickly in high GF content applications.
Short service life increases tool consumption and cost.
More knife changes interrupt continuous production.
Worn edges cause irregular pellets and excessive fines.
Our Monolithic Carbide Solution

Customer Case
High Glass Fiber Application
A specialized carbide bedknife solution developed for severe abrasion and copper-salt corrosion in PA66 reinforced with 50% glass fiber.
PA66 + 50% Glass Fiber Pelletizing
The Challenge
The 50% glass fiber content caused extreme abrasive wear, while copper-salt additives in the material accelerated chemical corrosion. The previous carbide bedknife lost cutting-edge stability and failed within only 24–48 hours.
Our Engineering Solution
The original cobalt-based solid carbide bedknife was upgraded to a specialized nickel-based carbide grade. The material was selected to provide improved resistance to both severe glass-fiber abrasion and copper-salt corrosion.
Longer Tool Life
Compared with the customer's previous cobalt-based carbide bedknife under the same production application.
-
✓
Superior Corrosion Resistance Developed for materials containing copper-salt additives.
-
✓
Higher Wear Resistance Improved durability under continuous 50% glass-fiber abrasion.
-
✓
Fewer Production Interruptions Reduced tool replacement frequency and machine downtime.
-
✓
Improved Cutting-Edge Stability More stable pelletizing performance during long production runs.
Verified Under Actual Production Conditions
The material upgrade addressed both the abrasive wear caused by high glass-fiber content and the chemical corrosion caused by copper-salt additives.
Longer Tool Life
Compared with the customer's previous cobalt-based carbide bedknife solution.
Previous Tool Life
The original bedknife failed within only one to two days of continuous production.
Specialized Carbide Grade
Selected to improve resistance to copper-salt corrosion and severe abrasive wear.
High-Abrasion Application
Proven in PA66 reinforced with 50% glass fiber under continuous pelletizing conditions.
Performance results are based on a specific customer application. Actual service life may vary depending on material formulation, machine condition, operating parameters and knife adjustment.
